How did you get started teaching?
I was a sexual assault victim and heard about Krav Maga. I decided I wanted to start taking control of my past and my fears and do something about it. I didn't want to be afraid anymore. Unfortunately, majority of people only start training AFTER something has happened to them or someone close to them.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages and limitations. The thing is everyone has something special about them and strenghts. It is my job as your instructor to show you how to realize and minimize your weaknesses as we build on your strengths.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone that you vibe with. No matter how important self defense, safety, and confidence is to you, if it is a chore you are not going to want to do it.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think of what keeps you up at night. What makes you insecure, these are your weaknesses in your eyes. This is what I can show you how to make a positive out of and where we can develope your goals and confidence from.
