I've been teaching voice lessons for 8 years, and have loved every minute of it!
I graduated from the University of Valley Forge with a degree in Contemporary Vocal Performance, and since then have taught at School of Rock, Rock and Roll After School, The Music Depot, and now run my own private studio out of my home. I've worked with students as young as 5 and adults in their 70s, in genres ranging from rock to pop to jazz.
What separates me from many teachers is I practice what I teach! I write, produce and record music with my band 'Mother Lion' - check us out on Spotify or Apple Music. Beyond that, I also gig out as a jazz vocalist and sing worship music for local churches.
I've had students whose voices were changed after only one lesson, so even if we don't work together long, I'd love work with you to help you improve your craft!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I generally ask that all students begin with 30 minute lesson times, with the option to increase to longer lessons down the road.
I always start with building the foundations, which includes breathing and understanding vocal anatomy. The first few lessons may only include vocal warmups until the basics are grasped. Then we move onto singing songs, which is when I incorporate teaching phrasing, pitch, rhythm and theory.
I tailor each lesson for the individual student, because everyone is different! Depending on the student's goals, whether it's gaining confidence, prepping for a performance, or career building, I'll customize how we work through material.
