Zeyu Victor Li's Biography Zeyu Victor Li,Who has been praised by world-renowned violinist Pinchas Zukerman: “you are a genius and your future will be bright", and acclaimed by internationally renowned Grammy Award winning Composer Tan Dun as "Musical Prodigy in China", Winner of the China National Violin competition Junior First Prize and the only “Contemporary Chinese Pieces Prize” at the age of 13. In the following year, he entered the top-ranked college “Curtis Institute of Music” (only three violinists were accepted globally in 2010) with a full scholarship as one of the youngest violinists. His teachers include the world famous musician and educator Aaron Rosand, Pamela Frank, and Shmuel Ashkenasi. Victor released his first Violin album "The Charm Of The Violin" at age 16. ​Zeyu Victor Li has won many International Competition awards, including the - 1st Prize, “Contemporary Piece Prize” and Audience Prize of the 19th Schadt International Violin Competition. - 1st Prize winner of Summit Music Festival Concerto Competition. - 1st Prize winner of Greenfield Musical Competition. - 3rd Prize winner of The Montreal International Violin Competition. - Silver medalist of The Stulberg International String competition. - "Special Prize " winner of Japan Sendai International Violin competition - "Composer Prize" winner of Menuhin International Violin competition. - "International Art contest winners" honorary certificate issued by Culture of China Governmental Ministry. Zeyu Victor Li was born in 1996 in Huainan City, Anhui Province, China. He began studying violin at age 4. He won the first prize in Anhui Violin Competition at age 7. At age 9 he was admitted to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Middle School where he studied with Professor Qinglin Zhu and Lei Fang. I Joined New York Philharmonic as a violinist After I finished my Bachelor Degree at The Curtis Institute of Music. I’m currently the youngest member of the orchestra and I’m the one of youngest member of this first orchestra in the USA for 175 years.
