Enthusiastic music studio owner in Columbia, South Carolina with 20 years of experience in private piano, voice and preschool music. In addition, a music educator who develops curriculum with a students development in mind. Students learn the joy, excitement, and love of music through my passion for teaching. I am a graduate from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Music Education. As a music teacher, it’s my duty to foster and inspire the joy of making music.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I believe that establishing a relationship with my students is essential to the success of music lessons. I recognize that every student has unique needs and abilities so therefore I adjust my teaching approach to address those needs and maximize their potential. I believe everyone is capable of learning music and it’s my duty to foster and inspire this musical journey to create successful learners.

How did you get started teaching?
I always admired my teachers for giving me the gift of music. Piano lessons enhanced my life as a child. Through music learning, I gained confidence socially and academically. I want to pass this gift along to others and be a positive in each students lives just like my teachers were to me.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages as young as 3 to 80-year-olds. I can work with beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
