My expertise is in classical technique, although you don't need to be interested in classical music to take lessons from me. I have a bachelor's degree from Winthrop University in vocal performance and a master's degree in vocal pedagogy (the art and science of teaching voice) from East Carolina University. I have a strong passion for teaching and if you take lessons from me, you will learn about proper breathing technique, classical vocal technique, and musicality. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I would like to get to know the student. I will ask why the student wants to take voice lessons and what genre the student is interested in singing/learning to sing. Once I know these things, I will teach the student the basics of singing and assign them repertoire to practice at home.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in vocal performance and a master's degree in vocal pedagogy (the art and science of teaching voice).

$40 for 60 minute lessons, $20 for 30 minute lessons.
