Monica Meza Piano Teacher

I am a piano teacher with a psychology degree who teaches children and teens who range from beginner to intermediate level skill in piano. In my youth, I took a decade of piano lessons, beginning at age 4, so I'm quite familiar with the piano. I've won awards in festivals and talent shows, so my own skill level is fairly advanced. I used to enjoy impressing my friends by playing music from the radio for which there was no sheet music available. My aim is to be creative to make piano lessons fun. For instance, if parents approve, I give beginners sheet music with color coded notes and colored stickers on the keys that match the notes. As the student learns each new song, we move the stickers (which are not very sticky, so they are easily removed) to other piano keys to help the student learn other songs.

I'm afraid the lessons must take place in your home or other arranged place, as I live in an apartment complex where the lease agreement does not allow business to be conducted from individual apartments..
