    Maurice Olfus shows exceptional ability to convey the great as well as the subtle movements of Tai Chi. As a teacher he also has patience with those of us who are not the quickest learners.

    Frequently asked questions

    1. Clients are asked to complete a medical questionnaire. Serious health conditions will require written permission from their doctor before starting classes.

    2. Clients will also complete a waivor of liability form.

    3. On a final form, clients will write their Tai Chi goal(s), and identify barriers that will prevent them from achieving their goal; and the measurment tool they will use for managing a successful outcome.

    4. Client's range of motion, cardio recovery, muscle strength and endurance and congnitive awareness will be evaluated to establish a before and after baselines.

    1. Private and semi private group rate is $80 per;

    2. The half hour rate is $40.

    3. Lessons can also be accomodated via Zoom.

    Started teaching in 1976.

    1. At Senior Centers I've worked with clients of all ages and fitness levels with chromic conditions for purpose of fall prevention.

    2. At public schools systems, I used Tai Chi as a mindful movement technique to help class room teachers manage stress and depression; and to students to improve their  classroom behavior.

    3. At Veteran hospitals and clinics, I taught Tai Chi breathing and relaxation techniques to clients with PTSD and Parkinson's symptoms.

    4. I teach Tai Chi for Health & Rehabiliation to clients that are referred to me by their Chiropractor.

    One client was very suspect about Tai Chi's health benefits claims. After three months, he wrote how much his balance was now; how surprised his doctor was in noting significant improvements in blood sugar levels and weight loss.
    So the recent event that I am fond of every time is when clients achieve their health goals .
