  • Jannelle Means

Roz is a versatile musician. She not only can play saxophone for your shows, but she can add her vocal ability to the performance. She is great asset to the band/team.

  • Trey Byrd

She’s a professional at breaking down material, and makes learning fun at the same time.

  • Keandra Hall

Roz is a very kind and patient person. She is open minded and a pleasure to be around. While being flexible she is very hard working. Having a reliable person on your team is something everyone aspires to have.

How did you get started teaching?

I found my niche for teaching at age 16 while teaching Vacation Bible school to little ones . By age 19 I started to work at a child development center and it was there I really found my love for teaching toddlers. I later went on to start playing saxophone and singing for a church and I often was approached for lessons at the time I was in college for music industry and figured that I needed to finish my degree to teach. When I saw it becoming a reoccurring situation and I realized that I had what it took to teach . I jumped into teaching vocals to pre-teens and I eventually got my first saxophone student back in 2018 and I've been teaching since !

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure they mold you into what you want to become not what they think you should be doing. Also make sure you as a student show commitment, discipline, and self reliance into wanting to learn the craft.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Is this something you want to pursue professionally or as a hobby ?
Is this a craft that you think will stick with and share with others as you learn and grow ?
Are you willing to commit to discpline yourself to the craft of becoming a musician?
