I have been a vocal coach in the Mid South for almost 40 years. Unlike many teaching voice today, I actually have a degree in voice. For 25 years, along with being a private vocal coach, I was also the choir director at, at the The time, the largest high school in Memphis. I have worked with literally thousands of voices from the very young, to what some would say, well seasoned. I work with people right where they are. By that, I mean that there is no standard someone has to reach in order to work with me. I listen to each individual voice, note areas that need more attention, and we go from there. Individually customed songwriting lessons based on an original curriculum designed by many years of experience and catered to each person specifically.
I strive to help my students become the best singer/actor/musicians that they can be. I hold Bachelors and Masters degree in Vocal Performance and was a professional singer in New York City for ten years before moving, with my wife, to Memphis. While there, I studied acting for singers at NYU and bring that training directly to my students, in addition to their singing instruction. I have professional experience in Opera, Oratorio, Music Theater, choral groups, and have traveled the world as a singer. Locally, I have worked with Opera Memphis, Rhodes Mastersingers, the Memphis Symphony, Playhouse on the Square, Theatre

Hello, I've been a musician nearly all my life. I grew up playing the piano for churches and received my formal piano and voice training at Millikin University in Decatur, IL. I won two major piano competitions when I still just a student in High School. Currently I play keyboards and sing in a Memphis cover band, Sassy Jones. Piano is my main axe and I would be able to give advanced instruction on this instrument. I can also teach voice, trumpet, guitar, bass guitar, and drums up to an intermediate level. I also teach improvisation and production skills. I have taught for 10 years or more in the West Tennessee area and I can help you become
