Hello, I've been a musician nearly all my life. I grew up playing the piano for churches and received my formal piano and voice training at Millikin University in Decatur, IL. I won two major piano competitions when I still just a student in High School. Currently I play keyboards and sing in a Memphis cover band, Sassy Jones. Piano is my main axe and I would be able to give advanced instruction on this instrument. I can also teach voice, trumpet, guitar, bass guitar, and drums up to an intermediate level. Make a Joyful Noise is my private lesson studio. I hold a Master of Music degree from Louisiana State University and I moved to Memphis to work on my DMA at the University of Memphis. I have over 30 years teaching experience and I specialize in preschool and elementary music education. I have older students who have been with me since their formative years. My focus is on sharing the joy of music while laying a foundation of lifelong learning.
