I teach ages 7-100+! Specialize in upper strings, classical and folk arts. I teach but also coach advanced players who desire to go into the music industry. I'm a fiddler/violinist, singer/songwriter and published author. I love passing on my knowledge of music and performing. I have my BFA in Music Ed/Violin Performance, MS in Psychology, and soon to graduate with my MA in Ethnomusicology. I am an adjunct psychology professor and violin teacher for a few local schools. I'm on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Depending on the age and level of the student, I always ask for them to play or sing something that they love. If they are brand new-we stalk about why they like music, why they want to play/write/sing music, and what is some of their favorite music. Then we make a plan. This includes a practice plan, music, plan, and small goals that are achievable.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA in Music Education/Violin Performance , a MS in Psychology, and I'll soon graduate with my MA in Ethnomusicology. I've taught for 12 years and build orchestra programs in Texas.
