About

Hannah Anders is one of Nashville and L.A.'s top Master Vocal Coaches. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance from Belmont University and has rigorously trained in all styles of commercial voice including pop, rock, jazz, country, R&B, and musical theatre. Hannah has learned the techniques and tools needed to properly train and coach singers to thrive in the contemporary genre of their choice. Her students have appeared on The Voice, X-Factor, American Idol, Nickelodeon, Disney, major motion pictures, voice over roles in international films and video games, and so much more.

Hannah's own resume as an on-stage performer is extensive. She has headlined major festivals around the world, and opened for some of country music’s biggest names. Her "on the job" experience gives her a unique ability to not only coach the best vocal performance out of her students, but the best stage performance as well. She understands what it takes to use your voice in a professional setting and how to ensure that you have healthy habits and techniques for a long career.

Hannah’s teaching experience ranges from intensive group master classes, to one on one vocal production in the recording studio, to on stage performance coaching, to private voice training in her studio. Hannah's students have been quoted to say that their lessons with her have been “nothing short of life changing”.

"I’ve spent my entire life feeling like an artist inside, but never knowing how to develop that into something I wanted to show on the outside. Working with someone who is so knowledgeable and committed to her students makes both the technical and emotional sides of voice training one of the most enriching and uplifting experiences I have ever had."

Hannah is acutely aware of each student's individual needs and excels at tailoring a specific curriculum based on their unique voice. Hannah does not subscribe to a "one size fits all" approach and no matter your age, goals, or experience level, she will find the best approach and technique for you.

I love when a singer comes in and has been plagued by a technical issue due to either lack of training or poor training and we get to conquer that problem together. Whether it's a breathing problem or a range issue, the look on their face when they realize they CAN sing the way they want to and that they don't have to be held back by challenges they thought would follow them forever, is so amazing and exciting.

Very rarely you come across a professional with the right combination of knowledge, heart, compassion, and vision - Hannah Anders is all of that and more. From technique to performance, mental and physical, there is no aspect of vocal performance that she hasnt been able to support and advance me in.
If you are a beginner, Hannah is for you. If you arent a beginner, Hannah is for you. Ive worked with her for over 10 years now and theres no way I would ever work with anyone else.

I have been using Hannah Anders Vocal Studio for over a decade, as a place to send my clients (singers) before they come record with me in the Studio. I also have her come to the Studio and Vocal produce with me. She is exceptional at her job, incredibly talented, and a joy to be around.

    Frequently asked questions

Starting lessons with a new vocal coach can be a little intimidating for even the most expericened singer, so when a new student steps in to my studio for the first time their comfort level is of the upmost importance to me. I start every first lesson with a little Q&A session so I can learn a bit more about your history with lessons (if you have ever had any), what you hope to gain from taking lessons with me, and what your personal goals are. From there I will do an evaluation of your voice and get a sense of where you are in your technical abilities. I can not stress enough that this is by no means meant to put any pressure or stress on you, but rather to further educate myself. I always tell new students it's like hiring a personal trainer. I have to get your "starting weight and measurments" so I know how to take you to your goals. From there I will go over what I think the best course of action will be moving forward and what you can expect from lessons with me. Throughout this whole process the floor is always yours to stop and ask any questions you may have. Remember that first and foremost this is your lesson, and your thoughts and questions are important.

I have been a singer my whole life and began voice lessons at a young age, so I am intimately familiar with the process. I began writing my own songs and performing when I was 14 years old and fervently continued down that path ever since.

I graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor's of Music Degree in 2007, and opened my first vocal studio shortly there after. I went on to spend about nine years in Los Angeles working with singers on Nickelodeon, Disney, The Voice, and major labels, as well as touring all over the world with my own band.

I not only have formal training at the collegiate level, but immense "on the job" training as a touring artist. I believe with my whole heart that when a student makes the decision to study with me they are in the best hands possible.

Do your homework. There are many "teachers" out there who do not have formal training and are simply going off of what they've seen on youtube or picked up from a lesson they have taken here and there. The old saying, "you get what you pay for" rings true with vocal coaches. You don't need to break the bank and there are plenty of coaches that are over charging, but be cautious if the price seems "too good to be true".

Truly experienced coaches charge what they do for a reason. You are better to see the right person less often then the wrong one evry week.

What are your personal singing goals?

If you have had lessons in the past, what worked for you? What didn't work?

What fears do you have, if any, about taking lessons?

What qualifies your teacher to teach you?
