I have been teaching since 1989, longer if you count the 4 years I gave lessons throughout high school. I love what I do and love working with people. One of my strengths is my ability to motivate through encouragement. I also use my gift as a church pianist, so I am actually doing what I am enthusiastically teaching my students to do.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If the student has never had lessons, I jump right in. I first try to put the student at ease and begin with the very basic information. If the student had previously had lessons, I assess where the student is and move on from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took piano lessons for 10 years. I have been a church musician for 25 years.
