Taste Buds Kitchen is a custom-designed Kitchen Event Studio.We are a Kids Kitchen by day and BYOB Adult Kitchen by Night. Clients enjoy cooking in a fully-equipped nut-free kitchen, complete with a pint-sized Pantry Store with our favorite cooking accessories.
Taste Buds Kitchen’s mission is to be the top culinary entertainment experience for kids, families and adults by engaging and delighting our budding chefs in the kitchen. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We always take time to get to know the student and understand their learning style to best structure the experience. As they become more confident and comfortable in the kitchen we continually change our approach to meet their needs by supporting, encouraging and challenging them to grow in their culinary knowledge.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team is made up of formally trained culinary professionals, nutritionists and educators. We are able to meet all of our student’s needs by combining these three unique and relevant professions.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We do have a standard pricing system for our lessons but we like to accomodate all our clients so we are always willing to modify with approval from our chefs. Pricing may vary due to modifications.

How did you get started teaching?
We found a need in our community for fun and entertaining culinary education for all ages. Our small team individually all have a passion for cooking as well as sharing it with friends, families and those who are looking for help. It was a natural decision to offer our services to offer entertaining culinary education in Southlake.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with a diverse and broad range of ages (2-adult) and kitchen knowledge who are coming purely for fun as well as those who want to truly learn the life-skill of cooking. We also find it very rewarding to work with and help to teach that cooking is for everyone by working with individuals with dietary restrictions, and individuals with special needs (physical, neurological, emotional, learning disabilities).
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We have so many wondeful events that happen in the kitchen every week that it is hard to choose just a single recent event. We cook with all ages and have had great clients booking birthday parties on the weekends, attending our byob classes and family classes. We've recently launched a new menu in honor of Cinco De Mayo, that got rave reviews its first time! We offer semester classes to kids and have had lots of repetitive clients come back and cook with us every year and join us for camps in the summer! We recently have had an increase in private lessons and our chefs have a great time providing those intimate one on one classes. We look forward to planning your event next!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It’s important to understand the approach the teacher will take with you personally as well as understand what their goals are for you to accomplish in your time together. Likewise, it’s important to have a great rapport and so visiting our kitchen and getting to know us and tour our kitchen studio is an important part to feel right at home.
