Since I began teaching I have been dedicated to the idea that providing a fundamental background in basics and in music theory provide the best foundation for progressing as a musician. These skills include finding the best position for students to hold the instrument, fitting it ergonomically to their size and shape. I start every student with music fundamentals that include scales, arpeggios and note reading practice regardless of age or level as I find it all together necessary to make any real progress in shorter amounts of time.

I absolutely love getting to work with students who are ready to have fun and enjoy getting to learn and play music. Teaching music, not just violin, but music as a whole provides me with a happiness unmatched by anything else I have done, and bringing music to students lives is the most wonderful thing I've ever experienced.
