About
My passion has always been centered around food. From growing my own fruits, veggies and herbs, cooking for and with my friends and family, learning about the history and science behind cooking to becoming a respected culinarian in the field of cooking. If you have that same passion or just an inkling then we need to get together.
I took over cooking full time at 10 when my mother became a single parent. My career path took me into the horticultural business working at Wolfe's Nursery then working at various restaurants until I decided to take culinary classes. I then joined the Navy to pay for college and was talented or lucky enough to work in and run the Command Naval Reserve Force Flag Mess in New Orleans under 7 admirals over 2 tours of duty where my team and I provided everything from continetal breakfasts, lunches for conferences, VIP dinners to catering parties and Change of Command ceremonies.
After the Navy I graduated from the Fort Worth Culinary School. I sell decorated retirement cakes and jams from home, volunteer for Meals on Wheels and teach healthy cooking and nutrition to children in underprivilaged neighborhoods. Currently I'm enrolled at Cornell's Hospitality Certificate Program.
I'd love to pour my knowlege into your cup if you want it!
People, people and people! Everything I do, from my volunteer work to providing my friends and family with food I think they'll love, it's all about sharing and giving.
