My husband Philip and I have one son at the University of North Texas. Nicolas is studying
astrophysics and math. We have two really cute Jack Russel Terriers.
Studying a string instrument brings many positive aspects to each person. It expands your thinking skills, your understanding in music, math, spacial reasoning, and many more things. It also helps the student gain a positive self assurance.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The perfect set-up for each student is important for a great lesson. We need to decide what learning style is the best for that student and where they are in their musical abilities.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
1 hour lessons are $60.00. Each 15 minutes are prorated, example 30 minute lessons are $30.00.
How did you get started teaching?
I actually started teaching in high school, but added many students while I was teaching at The University of North Texas as an adjunct viola and violin teacher. After graduating from UNT, I taught in a Suzuki Instutite in Dallas Texas while playing viola part time with the Fort Worth Symphony. When I won the full time position with the FWSO, I also started teaching at the college level. Never stopped teaching younger kids ages 3 - on
