Barbara A. King

She is the proud owner and artistic director of the Barbara King Dance Company. For the last 25 years, Barbara has dedicated her work to Theatre Arts, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, International Latin & Standard, American styles of Ballroom dancing and has traveled worldwide with her dance company competing, coaching & adjudicating.

She has been dedicated to the development of youth through dance and become an outstanding role model in the Ballroom industry for her work ethic, and passion in encouraging, and training children in both social, and competitive Ballroom Dancing.

It began with Ms. King, her 3 daughters, and her 2 sons, who hold many champion titles with their partners and other members of the company. They performed nationally, throughout Europe, and on numerous television shows. Some noted performances were the 2004 Super Bowl pre-party hosted in Houston TX, Houston Rockets Half-time show, Houston Dynamo Men’s Soccer Team and Houston Dash Women’s Soccer Team Half-time show, Texas Senators and Congressmen, performance televised in Tel Aviv Israel, Debra Duncan Show, Live in the morning with Lanny Griffith Fox 26, Great Day Houston, and a BBC Documentary on Beyoncé’ and Destiny’s Child which was broadcasted in Europe. The company continues to enjoy the privileges, and pleasure of performing and competing.
