Goodman Voice And Piano

I don't believe anybody lacks the ability to channel music through a voice or an instrument. We a naturally drawn to its transformative effects whether as a listener or as an active participant in creating song. I have been teaching piano and voice lessons for over 30 years. I started out with piano lessons as a child and by the time I was nine, I was singing musical theater music to my own accompaniment. I attended Northwestern to receive a B.A. in vocal performance. I performed with opera companies and choruses of distinguished places like Lyric Opera and Grant Park of Chicago. I continued to use my keyboard skills as a studio accompanist to other singers, as well as a piano teacher to children and adults. Of the many things I love about being a musician is my affinity for staying current and opening the pathway to learning new trends and techniques with the voice. I believe once you have a rock solid technique, you can learn to use your voice in lots of different styles.
