We are an exclusive to Muay Thai Boxing gym, although within our training regimen we are big on boxing instruction and it's importance within Muay Thai training & fighting. Here we teach the student and fighters alike the importance of proper balance, feet structure and all around technical skills training for competition, self defense or for those who just want to get into the best shape of their lives. We welcome individuals of all levels from around the world. The Aiki Muay Thai Boxing Gym was established here in Dallas, Tx in 2000.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Helping new students to learn the fundamentals and basics. Helping them to feel comfortable within the gym environment.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Khru John Sosa is the owner and head Instructor of the AiKi Muay Thai Boxing Gym.
He has been a dedicated veteran of the martial arts for over 45 years and comes from a long lineage of martial artists. He began amateur boxing and started competing in his early years, later progressing his training in Muay Thai Boxing. He has competed both nationally as well as internationally earning an international Muay Thai middle weight championship title in 1993. In 1994 he was on the first Dallas, Texas team to compete on the under card of Bunkerd Faphimai and Sakasem “Kazam” Kanthawong championship bouts, held at Fairtex grand opening first Muay Thai debut championships in Arizona. Mr. Sosa began his training in Muay Thai Boxing in 1988 under the guidance & tutelage of Ajarn Surachai Sirisute, founder of the T.B.A. Association of U.S.A. and is one of the first Americans to become certified to teach Muay Thai Boxing in the United States and remains active to date. His years of experience & instruction will greatly benefit all who wish to learn Muay Thai.
Mr. Sosa brings a traditional yet strong and positive approach to his instruction and training at the Aiki Muay Thai Boxing Gym.

$85 Children Monthly
Drop in class with appointment $35.
Private instruction $60 per hour.
ALL students must have gear for training: Boxing gloves, hand wraps, shinguards.
How did you get started teaching?
Mr. Sosa began his training in Muay Thai Boxing in 1988 under the guidance & tutelage of Ajarn Surachai Sirisute, founder of the T.B.A. Association of U.S.A. & through the years have had the opportunity to train with many top level fighters & coaches alike.
What types of students have you worked with?
All walks of life, amatuer and professional fighters to the novice beginner. Many join just to gain the self defense or physical fitness benefit from the fantastic training that Boxing & Muay Thai offers through intense training..
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Finding an instructor who will teach you properly and at your own pace. Patience is a plus and someone who has your best interest at heart. Helping every beginner and professional alike to better understand the basics and fundementals properly. Learning correctly is very important, espescially at the beginning so that you don't develop any bad habits that will remain throughout your training or career.
