Mr. Johnson has been teaching privately for 20 years in Texas. He currently maintains a large tuba and Euphonium studio at The Woodlands HS north of Houston. When teaching lessons Mr. Johnson can be found performing as a freelance musician with local orchestras, in solo recitals, or with Space City Brass quintet-a brass quintet which he founded. Hello aspiring guitar players, my name is Drake, and I am a 20 year old that’s been playing guitar for seven years. I only play fingerstyle (without a pick), so if that’s a style you want to learn, you’ve come to the right place. I will teach you how to play rhythm and lead using fingerstyle techniques, the theory behind cool licks, and how to improvise like a champion. I will also dive into why I personally prefer fingers over a pick and how we can take advantage of this difference.
