About
Our small piano studio includes just two of us - Anton Mordasov and Violetta Zharkova. We are husband and wife, and both professionally trained pianists. Anton has Artist Diploma from TCU, Fort Worth, Violetta has Doctor of Piano Performance from UNT, Denton. We find our passion in teaching students of all ages and levels, and enjoy seeing students grow to love and understand music. We are the members of Dallas music teachers association, which gives us the opportunity to introduce our students to the variety of events provided by this association. We both have numerous winners of various competitions from local level to international contests.

My son and daughter, ages 15 and 13, have been taking piano lessons from Ms. Vita Zharkova since they were 5 years old. Ms. Vita taught my son continuously, starting from Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, all the way through the Royal Conservatory of Music Level 10 (professional), and my daughter is not far behind.
Ms. Vita has extraordinary, in-depth knowledge of music theory and practice, and can instruct students on the finest details of performance. At the same time, she is good natured and fun to talk to.
All these years, I have enjoyed both taking my kids to lessons with Ms. Vita, and hearing them play in my own home (and at recitals). Both of them enjoy playing, and take pride in their own accomplishments. As my son once said years ago, I like learning piano, because its something a kid can do better than an adult.
I highly recommend Ms. Vita, especially for students aspiring to high levels of excellence and achievement.

One of the best private piano studios I’ve attended. Very professional and personalised approach. I definitely will continue my lessons with Violetta as she is a great professional, tactful and passionate teacher who knows exactly how to deliver information so it will actually stick. Definitely recommend to any level, as I’m not the beginner, but had quite a long break of not playing and came up to speed quite quickly.

Vita and Anton are excellent piano teachers completely different from the ruler snapping strict and unpleasant lessons I have had from other teachers. They are kind supportive and guide students giving excellent results instead of the brow beating of other teachers. Music is meant to be fun and learning a pleasure. Students will find that at Dolce Piano Sutdio.

My daughter, Nina, worked with Ms. Vita for 8 years, from 2011 to 2019. She started at age 5 as a beginner. I was always in the room with them when they were working together. Ms. Vita is passionate and dedicated to her teaching, and her experience and love of music had brought out my daughters musicality in her. Over the years, Ms. Vita had helped her won numerous local competitions. In 2018, she also helped her won the American Protege Music Competion, which gave her the chance to perform in the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City. Our family is forever grateful for Ms. Vita because she had helped us rasing such a wonderful musician in our life. Thanks, Ms. Vita!

Having had piano lessons when I was a child, I can say that Anton and Vita are nothing like the piano teachers I had decades ago, which is a good thing. Despite those lessons I am a professional musician. TAnton and Vita are both kind and encouraging and gentle when there is a problem with the music. Many of the things my traditional piano teachers thought were important that made playing and learning unpleasant enough to get me to stop lessons, are never part of their teaching style. I have been to their recitals to see their students thrive and those so inclined, to win and place high in competitions.
