About
I have been teaching partnership dancing for more than 30 years. I can teach all levels but still find the most joy in teaching beginners their first steps. I owned and operated a studio in Ohio for 22 years. My husband took a job opportunity in Texas so I sold the studio and semi retired. I now teach out of my home in McKinney as well as You Can Dance Dallas in Addison.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I believe in teaching to each persons individual needs rather than from a curriculum. Each student can advance at his or her own rate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have competed both professionally as well as in pro am divisions. I have received extensive training from numerous US and world champions.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Introductory offer 2 45 minute lessons for $60.
Pay as you go after that at the rate of $40 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started dancing at the age of 14 and began my teaching career at age 17. Opened my studio at age 22 and retired from there in 2014
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with juniors, wedding couples, as well as just plain hobby dancers.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My granddaughter was born last May. Now that’s an event!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I think it’s impor to have a good report with your instructor. If you clash in personality you will certainly clash during instruction.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The reason they want to learn is most important. Also having an idea of the type of music they would like to dance to. Music will dictate what style they should focus on.
