About
Hello.
Permit me to introduce myself.. I am Gene McDonald and I love to teach students of all ages, from age 7 - 87.
I have taught in public and private school music classrooms as well as kept teaching my private students for over 35 years and enjoy and love to see my students reach their goals and appreciate music. I have a Bachelor of Music (classical piano and composition), a Master of Music (classical piano, jazz, and composition), and coursework towards a Ph.D completed ABD.
I have also toured and recorded with many jazz greats for over 12 years such as Bob James, Kirk Whalum, Jeff Lorber, Earl Klugh, Angela Bofill , and many others.
No matter classical, jazz, or pop music, each and every student is special to me and I work with them in guidance to what goals they want to achieve. I believe music is so wonderful in growing up for kids and also great for adults as well in relieving stress and enjoying music.
