About
I am a classically trained violist with a doctorate in music. I have been teaching since 2015, and have experience educating students at all stages of their musical studies. I am an approved private teacher in both the Frisco and Allen school districts. I grew up in North Texas so my students also benefit from studying with an instructor with firsthand knowledge of the area’s orchestral programs. I am also passionate about music theory and Texas fiddling, and am always delighted to share my knowledge of either field with students, should they wish it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The main goal of the first lesson is to decide if my studio is the right fit for the student. We will evaluate the student's level and mutually agree on goals and how to achieve them. The following lessons include scales, etudes, and solo work. For classical students, I am always happy to assist with All-Region and All-State audition prep. Fiddling instruction includes an emplasis on learning by ear. I encourage my students to be involved with the greater fiddling community by attending contests and performances.
