About
My goal is to help each student reach their potential through diligent study of the piano. I choose the repertoire they enjoy and that they have a natural "feeling" for and express
the best. To the best of my ability, I try to ensure success;
because "success does breed success"! I teach them how to practice to get the most benefit from each practice session. I blend traditional methods with technology (Piano Marvel). I am a certified Piano Marvel Teacher (Piano Marvel.com. I am an established piano teacher, having taught since I received my Master's degree from the University of North Texas. I am a Certified Teacher for the National Music Teachers Association and a Certified Teacher and Judge for the National Guild of Piano Teacher.
I enjoy seeing the progress they make through study. Many come as absolute beginners and end up playing advanced
repertoire at a high level of performance. I enjoy seeing them enjoying playing the piano.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If the student is a beginner, a beginner, I build a firm foundation of music theory and piano technique with traditional method books and the use of technology (Piano Marvel. Piano Marvel has six progressive levels in both
the Method and Technique program. The Technique program
includes ear training. If a student is a transfer student, I access where they are and together we set goals to progress to a higher level of playing.
