About
I teach the swim float swim method first along with emergency swim. After that is accomplished we start working on strokes for swim team. I started my swim school after I had a dear friend of mine pass away in my high school swimming pool. 2 years ago another friend lost her son on his 2nd birthday due to drowning as well. I believe everyone should have access to swim lessons and at least know what to do if a fall is to happen on the water.
I have 14 years experience in swim lessons, 17 years of competitive swimming, 6 years in water polo, and 3 years of swim team coaching. I have taught with the Houston swim club and know their method of teaching, I have also taught with sea star swim and gym.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always do an evaluation the first day of class to see what the student will do, the next 2-3 lessons are me and the student getting used to each other and getting to know each other, by day 3-4 most average students are swimming on their own in little stretches, I normally do 10-12 lessons with a student and most students can float and swim independently on their own.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
80+ hours of Houston swim club training (tried and true for over 60 years)
40 hours of water safety training
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I only teach private lessons and private lessons start at $30 per a lesson, but if you buy in bulk pricing can be cheaper per lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
After my dear friend passed away drowning in the pool, and me knowing how to swim most of my life and I decided I would teach swimming so other can learn to swim and safe their life.
What types of students have you worked with?
Babies (prefer not to do)
toddlers, children (age2-12), adults
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Ms. Chelsea is one of my favorite this summer, when she started with me in May, she barely had little arms, could not even get a toy from the bottom of the pool and barely could hold her breath, last week she does 5 laps of freestyle with side breath, 4 laps of back stroke, does shallow dives and retrieves toys from all areas of the pool including the deep end (6feet). She has one more week with me and after that mom wants her to start swim team.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they have experience and a passion for swimming and water safety, water looks nice and all but it can be dangerous if you don't know what to do.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Have you ever had swim lessons before? Have you ever accidentally fallen into the water? Have you ever had a terrifying experience on or around the water?
