For singers, I ask that you bring two songs you already know that demonstrate your natural abilities and one song that you need help with improving your breathing, tone quality, intonation, and other singing issues.  

For total beginners in piano or voice, just come prepared to spend an hour your first lesson with finding the appropriate starting point and lesson materials for your lessons.

Bachelor's degree in Music and Media at TTU.  Extensive trainings and certifications teaching children and adults with TMEA, CTO, Trinity University, UTSA, University of Oklahoma, World of Music Piano Pedagogy and many others.

Monthly payments $140

Semester payments $360 (13 weeks)

Annual payments $1325

Tuition payments must be made 30 days in advance to ensure your placement in the weekly schedule of lessons.  

Taught individualized lessons in HEB and DFW area at High schools during choir classes in 1983-1986.  Moved to Austin to teach individual students at RRISD and PISD from 1987-2000.  Taught piano and voice at Marci Lynn Studio, Brook Mays Music, Allegro School of Music and Sam Bass Music in Austin from 1990-2012.  Choral Teacher in San Antonio ISD from 2012 - Present.

Singer-Songwriters, Lead and backup singers of Popular bands, Gospel-Praise team church singers, Middle school - College aged singers in school and community productions, and all ages-levels of piano students.

Ask the teacher to assess your abilities in terms of aptitudes you posses naturally as well as what are your weak areas you need more development such as sight reading, ear training, dexterity, stamina, musicality, intonation, projection, and stage presence.
