About
My greatest passion in life is to encourage people to be physically active and to learn to love swimming. Swimming isn't just a fun summer activity, but a survival skill. As a former Division I swimmer and former Division I coach, I have to knowledge, eperience, and skills to help swimmers of all abilities and ages. I would love to help you or a your child learn to swim or improve swimming skills.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
One of the first things I do is establish a comfortable relationship with the swimmer. Swimming can be scary at times, but when a child (or adult) trusts their teacher, they will get more out of the lesson.
I typically meet the swimmer at their own location as well so they feel more comfortable at a pool near or at their house.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started swimming when I was 8 years old. Swimming has taken me all over the country and compete at the Division I level. I am also a former Division I coach and current swim coach for the military. I also have taught over 700 people how to swim in my lifetime through swim lessons and club coaching experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $30 for 30 minutes for a private lesson. Additional fees for travelling to a location depending on how far it is away from my location.
How did you get started teaching?
Swimming has lead me to where I am today. I attribute most of my success to the lessons I learned and the people I met through swimming. After my four years of college swimming, I realized this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I absolutely love seeing people fall in love with swimming as I did years ago.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages and abilities, from learning to swim to training for a triathlon or Olympic Trials.
