What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to get to know the student, learn what other sports they have played, as it relates to their tennis. I like to fill them with confidence and make sure they are having fun, by pointing out first, all the things they do correctly, what the student should keep doing!

Then I add plenty of instruction, once we have created the relationship where they are comfortable to take in the information.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

-Playing high level Jr and College tennis.

- Working 15 years as a tennis director at John Newcombe Tennis Ranch.

- USPTA Certified.

- I really enjoy the process of teaching, when a student has trouble grasping a concept, finding a way of conveing the message in the way the individual will best recieve it.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$75 per hour, please ask for group rates, discounts, and specials

How did you get started teaching?

I first worked for my coach back in Australia. It was a natural progression.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked alot, with all ages and all levels. Kids and Adults. I love the variety and the challenge in the different ways they learn.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Tennis fantasies and working with John Newcombe Roy Emerson and Rod Laver is one of the highlights of my year, and my professional teaching career.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure you fit well with your coach, do you like to have fun, work hard, laugh. Know your goals, then you can match yourself to your pro.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

It helps to know what sports they have played, what instruction they have previously gotten.
