What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For new students I want to assess how well they handle the racket and ball at first. Then will develop skills from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have done Sunday school with children for 15 years. Studied Psychology and Sociology in the concentration of adolescent development. In college also studied on the studying of Gerontology the study of aging. Also have worked with elderly at church and volunteering at hospitals. As far as training goes I played soccer for 22 years along with tennis for 20 years. For background plays ping-pong, badmington, along with basketball for many years.

I have a base price along with options to go with if wanting for more then 1 hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching people because I want everyone to eloquently play the game. In tennis it's more then hitting a great forehand or a reverse-volley. There is strategy of certain angles and having versatility of shot-selection. Also to create an friendly competitive atmosphere.
What types of students have you worked with?
From 5 years to 65 years old.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A student of mine wasn't able to hit her backhand for weeks constantly slicing but her cousin came by after a few lessons and she was able to hit her best backhand cross court ever that day!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If you are wanting to be very proficient at the game be very patient.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your main goals in learning the game along with how much effort are you willing to put in for your goals.
