Abby Neeley Violin Studio
About
I have been playing the violin for more than 25 years! I began at the age of 8 in 1998 and have studied with many incredible teachers including Melinda Bell, LoiAnn Eyring, Jack Ashton, and Judy Rich. I have participated in dozens of different orchestras over the many years including Rocky Mountain Camarata, BYU Symphony Orchestra, and currently with Millennial Choirs and Orchestras. I have had the opportunity to play all over the country and the world by touring through Europe, the Western United States from Idaho to Texas to Southern California, and Carnegie Hall in New York City.
I have been teaching and coaching string musicians for more then 20 years with more than 10 years of experience teaching private violin students. As a music teacher, I take the responsibility of helping and guiding my students through their musical and life journey very seriously and I find great joy in fulfilling that role, like so many wonderful people have done for me. I love being able to see my students get past a plateau and progress. There is a magic that comes alive in a student’s eyes when something clicks or they find a piece of music that they love or the fire to learn begins to burn brighter. I believe that a students will excel more when it is their choice to excel. I strive to provide opportunities for my students to make choices and own those choices by taking responsibility for their learning experience. During each lesson my student and I create goals and expectations together for the coming week and I expect that those expectations and goals will be honored.
I truly look forward to teaching, coaching, and guiding you on this part of your musical journey!
