My name is Marilyn Hart. I have enjoyed teaching piano lessons for 40 years. I have studied with many wonderful teachers who have taught me not only the tradional sight-reading method, but how to have FUN playing the piano using chords and improvising.

I have written my own method book called "Keyboard Express Chord Method Song and Theory Book". This book teaches piano theory, how to build and recognize chords, improvise 110 ways, compose songs, transpose four ways, and traditional method sight-reading. This book also teaches how to play familiar folk or classical songs, scales, and chords in all 30 major and minor keys.

I have taught many teacher and community education workshops called "Piano Fum Using Chords". I am also certified to teach the "Creative Chord

Style Approach" by Scott Houston (The Piano Guy) on TV.

I really enjoy teaching piano lessons because I love working with people (children and adults) to help them find the joy I have found with music and using chords.

Lessons are given in my east Kaysville studio. I teach private lessons plus fun monthy group lessons for the children. At the group lessons we learn about composers, study theory and theory games, and sometimes perform for each other.
