About
I’m a passionate pianist with a deep love for all genres of music—though Classical music, especially the works of Chopin, holds a special place in my heart. I’m currently attending Weber State University on a music scholarship, and have been honored to receive multiple scholarship offers from other institutions as well.
I believe strongly in the Faber Method of teaching, which I use with my students because it builds a solid foundation in theory, technique, and expression—key components of becoming a confident and well-rounded pianist. In addition to teaching, I compose and produce original music and arrangements. One of my favorite pieces I’ve written is an arrangement of “Jesus, Once of Humble Birth,” which I’ve included on my profile for you to enjoy.
What truly sets my approach apart is the way I connect with my students—especially children. I invest deeply in their growth, both musically and personally. If I notice a student losing interest, I take time to get curious. I’ll ask about their favorite video game, movie, or song—and then I’ll create a custom arrangement at their current piano level based on what they love. This sparks excitement and reminds them that music can be both meaningful and fun.
Many of my students have gone on to participate in piano competitions, and I actively seek out opportunities for those who are ready and interested. But beyond competitions, my greatest joy comes from watching them grow and fall in love with music in their own way.
I also go the extra mile to support my students outside of lessons. When invited by families, I attend their school performances, sporting events, and other milestones—because I believe learning is about connection, not just instruction. I’m also proud to serve as my ward choir accompanist and the Primary chorister, where I get to experience the joy and humor of children weekly—they continue to teach me just as much as I hope to teach them.
Whether you’re a beginner or a concert-level pianist, I believe that if you can play a tune, you are a musician. Music is the universal language that connects us—and I’d be honored to help you or your child discover just how powerful it can be.
