About

I am a pianist that loves music of any kind, but I especially love Classical music. Chopin is my favorite. Although I have received multiple college scholarships for piano performance, currently I have decided to choose a different career path teaching music - which I love! I am an international award winning competitor in piano. I believe in the Faber Method of teaching. It is excellent as it teaches all of the fundaments necessary to become a great pianist. I also compose and produce my own music which I would love to share with you sometime.

I have a passion for music and absoluetly love to teach others that have a desire to have that same kind of passion. I respect all musicians - whether they are a beginner or a concert pianist. If they can play a tune, they are a musician. Music is the universal language of the world. It speaks to the soul and expresses the perfect emotion.

Frequently asked questions

I teach the Faber method and stand by it. It teaches all the foundations to accelerate as a pianist. I teach theory, technique, piano performance, lesson material, and a challenge piece (longer term) to those who have progressed enough past the early beginner level. Scales are significantly important. Although it's not always the student's favorite, they build foundation and fundamentals in all repertoire that they play. Some students don't have as much interest in learning the piano but their parents want them to. I have had success keeping students like this interested by making arrangements of music that meets their skill level of songs that they like from movies, video games, TV shows, church music, etc. I have no problem spending the extra time doing so without a fee if it keeps the child engaged in culture.
I graduated from a performance high school in 2018. While there, I was admitted into the Music Conservatory program, which is an elite invitation. From 2018-2020, I worked on personal growth with my technique and repertoire. I wrote and arranged a few pieces which were professionally recorded. From 2020-present, I have taught as many as 35 students per week from ages 5-adult. 2024-present, I received a departmental full tuition scholarship at Weber State University under the piano performance program. My plan is to receive my Bachelor's degree and pursue my Master's and Doctorate.
I currently charge $21 per half hour lesson. I request payments to be made through Venmo or cash. Teaching piano is my job that I take very seriously and you expect me to show up to work and not call in sick; therefore, if you are absent for a lesson, refunds will not be offered unless certain circumstances have been arranged with me. Payment for the full month is due at the first lesson of each month. For example, if there are 4 weeks in a month and I charge $21 per lesson, $84 would be due at the first lesson of the month.
