About
Dr. Frani is a concert pianist and a composer. He has studied with Vincenzo Pertile Venice Music Conservatory, Paul Pollei at Brigham Young University and Jan Ekier from the Chopin Academy in Warsaw.
He has performed as soloist in piano festivals in New York, Montreal, Frankfurt, Rome, Hamburg, Budapest, Tokyo, and Salt Lake City. Frani has participated and won several national and international competitions such as the Albenga – Italy National Piano Competition, the Stresa Competition, the Venice Award, the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition, and the Ester Honens International Piano Competition in Canada.
Since 1994, Massimiliano Frani serves as jury member in international competitions and as guest teacher at institutions such as the Martha Argerich International Piano Academy in Lake Como, the Vicenza Conservatory, the Hamburg and Frankfurt Hochschule and others.
He has recorded several albums as soloist, chamber musician and conductor with ensembles such as the American Piano Quartet, the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society, the Budapest Chamber Orchestra, the Bulgarian National Symphony Orchestra, and the Venice Interpreti Veneziani Orchestra. His recordings include extensive repertoire by Frederic Chopin”, Sergei Rachmaninov, Johann Sebastian Bach, among others.
