About
Pro Shop Music Studio hosts an array of experience and repertoire for all ages. My main focus is beginning and new students. I teach beginners (starting age is usually 6) in technique, theory and ear training. I encourage and help students advance to higher levels, and they have opportunities to perform and attend festival competition. Students receive encouragement to practice and advancement through a points system that let's them select from various prizes and treats.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I have new students, we will discuss what and if they have any experience or knowledge of the piano, how it works, proper form on the piano bench, the difference between white and black keys, and basic technique. Based age and experience we will determine a starting level in books and theory.
