I am extremely qualified and experienced. I offer personalized educational opportunities. I teach what the student wants to learn, while making certain they learn what they need to know for success.
I love to share the joy of music. I gain a great deal of satisfaction watching my students progress and accomplish their goals.
easy to find right type of instructor for me
I initially meet with the student to see if we will be a good fit. I then discuss the goals of the student and the parent (if appropriate). I assess the knowledge and skill level of the student. I build a plan to achieve the goals.
I have an undergraduate degree and a Masters Degree in music education. I commanded a U.S. Army Band for nearly twenty years. I taught music in public and private schools, grades K-12, for twenty years. I directed music programs in churches for thirty plus years. I played professionally for many years in orchestras, night clubs, and special performance settings. I have taught privately for in excess of thirty years.
Pricing varies with the length of lesson and if travel is involved.
Music has the power to change the lives of people. I enjoy teaching and introducing students to the amazing world of music. I may be guiding them to greater understanding and skill levels.
My youngest student was four years old (normally that is younger than I prefer). My oldest student was 94 when she started. I look for students who have serious intentions toward learning.
Always look for the very best instructor you can find/afford. Your progress will be greatly enhanced. Hopefully the teacher and the student will genuinely enjoy one another.
