John Wright Piano Lessons
About
I am unique among piano teachers because I can teach both classical and jazz. I have played in jazz bands and jazz combos at both the University of Utah and BYU. I have played piano for many Church events also. I can teach beginning and intermediate classical piano. I can teach guitar also and I have had students in the past. I am great with children and I have raised four children. Another job I had for about 18 years was playing improvised music for the University of Utah Dance Program and Tanner Dance. I enjoy seeing the progress of the students. I enjoy seeing the happy parents and friends as they watch their child perform at recitals.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out the best way for each student to learn by getting to know the student. I love to work with small children, young students, teenagers, or adults. You can see some of my students and recitals on my YouTube channel called "JohnWrightPiano" that I have had for a few years.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied music at both BYU and the University of Utah. I have worked with many choirs. I have produced CD's and I have played at many restaurants and hotels in Utah. I have played for many weddings and special events. I played for the Governor of Utah at an event at a golf course in Park City. Also Senator Hatch was in attendance. I have played at many venues in Park City also.
