About
Rachel has been playing music since she was old enough to walk. She started on piano and flute, then picked up the violin and viola. She has studied music performance at the University of Utah and privately with such teachers as: Jane Mensel, Karen Child, Karen Bergeson, Roberta Zalkind, and Julie Edwards. You can see her perform regularly with the Utah Philharmonia Orchestra and in the last 10 years has performed with such groups as the Cathedral of the Madeleine Choir and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. She also has a passion for chamber music and composing/arranging music. She has had compositions and arrangements performed by the Utah Jubilate Choir. Rachel teaches beginners through early advanced students and takes on students ages 6+. She teaches mainly using the Suzuki Method.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With new students, I like to do a trial lesson to get to know eachother and to see what the student knows and what they are excited about learning. Trial lessons are always half price.
