I received my bachelor in music degree from Weber State University, and master's degree from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Currently, I am pursuing my doctorate degree at Eastman. In 2019, my husband and I founded Lee's Academy of Music in Springville, UT to provide affordable and quality lessons to students in the area. We also expanded our studio to offer online lessons so we can share our own teaching method and material with a wider group of students. For students in the Provo-Springville area who don't have a piano, we also lend one of our digital pianos for free while students are enrolled so they have a piano to practice at home. The pianos are limited in numbers so it is only for those in need and in a first come first serve basis.
The teacher that I had was very friendly and she made sure that I understood every concept playing piano before moving to other lessons. Also, she was very flexible with scheduling and understanding learner's condition. One thing that I liked the most was that I wanted to create my own piano learning journey by deciding what I wanted to learn the most, so she helped me along the way and she even wrote a sample classical music that I really liked to play on the piano. I am still taking lessons from Lee's Academy and it has been the best learning experience that I had. I would highly recommend to anyone who is considering on taking music lessons.
I love how patient the teachers are with my 4 children. They make the lessons fun and make my children feel so confident in what they are learning. They are very positive and very easy to work with when life happens!
I would make sure to spend time getting to know the students' needs and their level so I can tailor my lesson plan accordingly.
