What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I evaluate what level the student is and what books/supplies we need to have productive lessons. Then I help them come up with an effective practice routine to see the most progress possible. Then, every week, we come up with new goals and meet those challenges together!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's in Violin Performance: Vanderbilt University
Master's in Violin Performance: The University of Michigan
Suzuki trained and certified.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$20 per half hour lesson; one half hour lesson per week.
How did you get started teaching?
I have played the violin for 20 years and have taught for 10 years. I've always had a passion for teaching people about music and helping them develop a love for it.
