Bio: Alhy Moore has been teaching piano for over twelve years. She studied with BYU Faculty member, Scott Holden for two years during which she earned a superior score in the state Solo & Ensemble festival. She was accepted into the BYU piano program in 2006 and graduated with a BA in Music in 2010. During her time at BYU, she had the opportunity to learn piano pedagogy from BYU faculty member Irene Peery-Fox and to attend the World Piano Pedagogy Conference in Las Vegas, NV. Throughout 2006 and 2007, Alhy had the opportunity to learn the Taubman approach from teacher Kendall Feeney in Spokane, Washington. This approach helps pianists reach a higher level of technical proficiency and prevents injuries. In 2012 Alhy returned from a full-time LDS spanish-speaking mission in Tucson, AZ. In May 2013 she married her sweetheart Jeremy Moore. Besides teaching piano, Alhy holds a Masters Degree in TESOL.
