What is your typical process for working with a new student?
All students come with a parent for a free 15-minute audition where we decide what placement is best for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Music in Elementary Music Education from BYU, and a Master of Curriculum and Instruction and Early Childhood Education from ASU. I studied under Dr. Jerry Jaccard and Sister Susan Kenney at BYU, and completed the Kodaly Certification program at BYU. I worked for Let's Play Music for several years, creating their Sound Beginnings curriculum, and training and advising the first 100 Sound Beginnings teachers. I have been teaching children in my home music studio in Provo since 2005.
