Lexie's Violin Studio
About
Hello! My name is Lexie, and I grew up in St. George and have lived in Utah County for a few months now.
I started violin lessons when I was just 4 years old, and music has been a central part of my life ever since. I studied with the Suzuki method for 14 years. In 2015, I graduated high school and began studying at Dixie State University. While working on my degree, the university introduced a Bachelor of Music degree, so I extended my studies by an extra year to take pedagogy and other specialized courses that focused on teaching and the functions of music. I played in the University orchestra since my senior year of high school and was concert master for 2 years. In 2020, I graduated with my Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance.
I’ve been teaching for 11 years now, and it truly brings me joy! I love the one on one interaction, building relationships with my students, and helping them grow in both skill and confidence. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students not only develop strong technique but also a genuine love for music and understanding of how it works. I also have a strong passion for helping students gain confidence in performance.
I’m excited to get to know families in this community and look forward to sharing my love of music with new students! Lessons are for any age of students!
