Savanna's Violin Studio
About
*Before you contact me, please read through all information written below in order to make an informed decision on whether or not we are a match for lessons. I only take people who are serious about wanting to learn violin or viola.*
Hi! My name is Savanna Cannon, a violinist and violist with a love for sharing music. Ever since I picked up violin at a young age, music has been at the heart of my life. Over the past two years, I’ve taught students from young beginners to adults, helping them grow in skill, confidence, and enjoyment of their instrument.
I’m currently earning my Bachelor of Arts in Music at the BYU School of Music. My teaching blends the Suzuki method with practical techniques and ideas I’ve learned from my professors. Lessons are available in person—usually Saturday mornings in the BYU Music Building practice rooms—or online through FaceTime or Zoom. Depending on where you live we could also negotiate me coming to you.
Students can choose 30, 45, or 60-minute weekly lessons. Each one receives personalized lesson plans, practice guides, instrument maintenance guide, music theory resources, and personalized progress goals. I make sure lessons are interactive and encouraging, and I also provide opportunities for group playing and recitals to keep music-making fun and rewarding.
I charge $25 for 30 minutes, $37.50 for 45 minutes, and $50 for 60 minute lessons. Monthly: $100, $150, or $200.
Please only contact me if you genuinely want to start lessons with me. Lessons.com charges me for my profile, and I love to teach and want to teach, but it is frustrating when I respond and we decide to not proceed with lessons. You have my location, availability and what I charge for lessons. That should inform your decision in whether you want to contact me. Thank you so much, I hope to see you soon!
