About
I am currently majoring in Piano Performance at Utah Valley University. I have been teaching piano for six years and I have been playing the piano for 19 years. I love teaching students of any age! I use many techniques in my piano teaching and I love taking advice from people! I will hold student recitals 2-3 times throughout the year. I incorporate technique, music theory, and sight reading into my teaching.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I see what level they are at and I start them in 2 books that will help them to become better in their technique and performing skills. I give students a variety of different types of scales, arpeggios, and cadences to play depending on their skill level. I want them to feel comfortable coming to their lessons and asking any questions that they have. I assign them a theory book to help them with their piano comprehension. I will do their theory with them in the lesson if they do not understand.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken two years of Piano Pedagogy at Weber State and I'm now transfering to Utah Valley University to continue in Piano Performance. I have played the piano for 19 years.

My mom is a piano teacher and she started giving me some of her piano students. I gradually started building my own piano studio and have been teaching for roughly 6 years.
