Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
After a private audition with the student and parent(s),
an individual course of study is planned. It is my hope that this course will be exciting and motivating based on this student's personality and my intuition from this interview! We get started right away!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my degree in pedagogy and 30 years of private teaching experience.
I was the principal pianist for Ballet West for 5 years.
I have accompanied professionally for vocalists and theater groups around the region as well as played professionally for funerals and weddings. Groups included are: White House reception center, Myers Mortuary, Lindquist Mortuary and Missula Children's Theater.
Member of National Association of Professional Women, Ogden Drama Club, Founder and Director of Poole Piano Studio and PianoMastermind LLC.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$99.00 for intermediate.... (45 minutes plus half hour of lab time on the theory program)

How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching while working on my degree at Weber State University.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have seriously taught at least 1400 students in my 30 years of teaching. My experience has given me opportunities to coach pageant competitors (I was in Miss Utah and placed twice), Scholarship candidates, many other teachers, beginners, adults and even couples! I enjoy each opportunity to learn from as well as share new knowledge with the individual.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't settle. You deserve the best, period. I drove an hour each way for my lessons with two different Concert Pianists for over five years and it PAID OFF.... totally.
