About
Making and learning music should be an enjoyable and empowering process. I strive to embody this ideal through my holistic teaching style which incorporates music theory, ear training, music history, and improvisation in addition to the commonly taught skill of note reading. It is my goal to help create capable, well-rounded, confident, and happy artists who will develop a love of music that will last them their entire life.
Seeing students enjoy their progress or take joy in a song is indescribably rewarding.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I offer a free consultation so the student and I can establish rapport, and so I can learn about the student's abilities, learning style, and goals. Each learning plan is individualized per student, but a typical course of learning entails theory driven warm-ups, a lesson book, a theory book, personalized learning activities, and a solo of the student's choice for them to enjoy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in music, with an emphasis in piano performance. I graduated summa cum laude from SUU in 2017.
