About
I teach from the mindset that playing music should be just that-playing. Learning music can be empowering, exciting, and fun when approached from a lens of exploring things that the student authentically enjoys. Through holistic teaching, I aim to give every student the tools to confidently thrive in any musical setting. These tools can include theory, aural skills, composition, performance confidence, and improvisation in addition to the commonly taught skill of music reading.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I offer a free consultation so the student and I can establish rapport, and so I can learn about the student's abilities, learning style, and goals. Each learning plan is individualized per student, but a typical course of learning entails theory driven warm-ups, a lesson book, a theory book, personalized learning activities, and a solo of the student's choice for them to enjoy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in music, with an emphasis in piano performance. I graduated summa cum laude from SUU in 2017.
