About

Room for Resonance is a piano studio for students who want more than just notes and technique—they want a meaningful, supportive relationship with music.

My standard format is a monthly membership of $200 for four 30-minute in-home lessons, scheduled once per week.

I specialize in working with adults, including complete beginners and those returning to piano after many years. My lessons are designed to be calm, encouraging, and personalized, helping you build confidence at the piano while reconnecting with your creativity at a comfortable pace.

Each lesson blends strong musical foundations with an emphasis on how you experience learning. I focus on creating an environment where students feel at ease, supported, and able to learn without pressure or judgment. Many students find they not only improve musically, but also feel more confident and relaxed in the process.

Children and teens are also welcome, and receive the same patient, student-centered approach that supports both skill development and a positive relationship with learning music.

At Room for Resonance, the goal is simple: to help you feel more confident, more capable, and more connected to music.

If you’re looking for a thoughtful, supportive piano teacher—especially as an adult learner—I would be happy to connect.

I’m on speaker at meetings for a living. When I speak my trademark is beginning “there to be awesome because the rest of the world is average.” Bonnie is truly an awesome piano teacher. She is not only very confident technically in terms of understanding music and piano clearly knows how to communicate that to the student motivate them and help them become much better. I thoroughly enjoy my lessons with her and highly recommend that you look no further than her to sign up for lessons for you or one of your children. I rarely pass out a compliment really awesome to anybody. They really gotta earn it and set the bar pretty high

Bonnie is respectful, intuitive, and so joyful with our daughter. Bonnie works with her by meeting her exactly where she is and Bonnie knows just how to guide her growth and practice. We all really appreciate working with Bonnie and highly recommend her.

Bonnie is an excellent and professional teacher. My kids have had two lessons with her so far and even my most musically reluctant one is enjoying it a lot. Bonnie is on time and cheerful and makes the lesson experience fun for my kids. So far very happy. Highly recommend!

When I was 12 years old, my mom said, ‘here’s a family with children who want to learn the piano. You learn best when you teach others. They are within walking distance. They are willing to pay $2/lesson. Good luck!’ :)
I’ve worked with ages 2-82; beginners, intermediate, and advanced. The ones I feel unqualified to teach are college level students. All others I love working with!
